Desert Camping

As spring approaches, my heart is drawn more and more to the incredible deserts and solitude of Southern Utah.  The best times to camp down there are in the Spring and Fall.  This longing has me looking back at my most recent camping trip in the south back in October.

I hope you'll enjoy these photos of Little Wild Horse Canyon and Bell Canyon as much as I do.  The slot canyons of Utah are truly a natural wonder and since these two are non technical, I was able to bring little Winston along.  He had a glorious time!

These photos are all mine and I'd very much appreciate it if you'd ask before using them.  Thanks!
This is my favorite photo from the slots.  Taken in Bell Canyon.
Erik and Winston leading the way.
 Crazy twists, turns, textures.
 Winston having a ball.
 Colors, colors, colors!
Trying to keep Winston as clean as possible.
Keeping Winston clean means I get very muddy.
Old mining huts from the 1870s.
This area was mined for Uranium deposits.
Incredible Temple Mountain at sunset right next to our campsite.
